A Melbourne-based designer, Emilie takes her inspiration from the unique Australian flora and fauna, and every design has a story, from the dreamtime Dugong mermaids to the seagrass and the Green Turtle.
All products are designed to spark conversation and action.Through each purchase some of our profits go to conservation projects, we have recently donated to Surfers Against Sewage helping them to campaign for against untreated sewage entering the sea and run one Million Mile beach clean up.
Her design career started in England. With a background in theatre design from Central St Martins she worked as a set designer and art director for TV commercials, theatres and a circus. At the same time, Emilie launched 009textiles, a London-based textile studio in conjunction with Gopali. Emilie’s commissions include work for Liberty London, Rupert Sanderson, Soho House, Tate Modern and Bafa’s Club. Her work has also been featured in UK Vogue, Sunday Telegraph, Primer, the Evening Standard, and has won Best British Fabric Design in Elle Decoration.
